Originally formed as Cleveland Basketball Club in 1983, the team led a fairly nomadic existence. However, since taking up residence in the state of the art £7.4m EstonSports Academy the club has gone from strength to strength. With former NBA draft Tony Hanson at the helm, Tees Valley Mohawks have managed an unsurpassed two National Basketball League trebles in three seasons.

Mission:

Tees Valley Basketball Club aim to make Basketball available, affordable and easily accesible to everyone throughout the Tees Valley area regardless of Race, Creed, Colour or Religion.

Club Objectives:

- To raise the profile and awareness of the Tees Valley area and it's sporting prowess and skills.

- To enable the club and it's partners to reach a wider area and encourage more participation in sport.

- To promote a healthy lifestyle through activity for all the family.
